What's on my mind?

Lately there has been a lot going though my mind, mainly finals. I have been thinking about finals so much because finals are next week already. This year I will have 4 finals to take in 2 days. I have finals in geometry, Spanish, biology, and English. The worst part is having to memorize everything that you have worked on all year. There is only so much information one can remember. Finals are not fun.

However, there is one highlight, getting out of school early.

Semester Goals

I don't really have very many goals that I set for semester. I am hoping I will get straight A's this semester. I am close to reaching my goal at this point. A lot can change in a little time. I think I am having a successful first semester so far. I have a 3.77767 grade point average at this point. I haven't set any goals for second semester at this point. My second semester goal will probably be an effort to get straight A's. I always try my hardest on all my assignments, so when I see my final grade I will always be happy with what I get.

Winter Break

Over winter break I participated in many different activities. During all my Christmas parties I attended, I received many gifts. My two favorite gifts would have to be my ipod touch and the family ping-pong table. On Tuesday, December 29, I went to the DMV to take my road test. I passed my test with 11 points taken off. I had so many points taken off because the lady was a crazy-crab and toke away points for nothing. Later in the week, are heater was not working the greatest. The workers, came to fixed the problem, however they only seemed to make it worse. The next day we had to get a new heater put in. Now, all is well and it is warm in the house againg. In the end I had a very nice winter break.

The pictures show the tone of the essay through Erik Weihenmayer's trip to the top of Mt. Everest.
The essay shows examples of determination, struggle, and courage. These are only a few examples of tone that were used in the short story we read in class. Erik struggled because he was blind and was told everything to do. Erik was determined to reach the top of the mountain with his troubles. The story showed examples of courage by Erik's friends caring for him and helping him throughout the trip.

My Bedroom

My bedroom is very comforting. In my room I have tan-brown carpeting and tan curtains with small brown strips. The walls are dark brown and light green, matching the rest of my room. My bedroom is usually neat and organized. Sometimes I have cloths laying around because I get lazy and I don't put them away when I should. If a stranger were to walk into my bedroom right now, I think they would like my room. I think they would like my bedroom because it is clean, unlike most teenager's rooms. My room is also very warm, making it easier to call your home. However, I would not like a stranger living in my room, that would just be a little creepy!

Tarantulas!!

I would rather spend time studying the tarantula over the wasp. I would like to study the spider because I know less about that species. I never would have guessed that tarantulas are harmless to humans. I also learned that the spider's bit is usually weaker than a bee's bite. I would like to study were the tarantulas have became popular pets. Also, I think it would interesting to find out the ratio of how many people own a tarantula as a pet. I believe a study should be done, to prove how tarantulas can be slow and deliberate movers, while being able to catch bigger game. When I am studying the tarantula I would like to find out how many enemies it has. I know that the wasp is an enemy of the spider. The was and the spider are enemies because the tarantulas are paralyzed by the wasp. I am not sure if I would want a tarantula as a pet, however I think I would like to study about them.
